Our School Prayer

In preparation for the 50th Anniversary of the opening of Bishop McDevitt in 2008, the student body wrote a new school prayer as part of the celebration of McDevitt's silver anniversary.  This prayer would be said before each class and also athletic contests.

Holy Mary,

Through your Son, Jesus,

Give us Wisdom to know what is right;

Courage to do what is good:

And strength to live our faith.

Help us to seek virtue, achieve excellence

And celebrate our diversity.

Our Mother, our Guide,

Maria impende juvamen.

Mary, lend us your assistance.
